MTC Week 1 May 23, 2015

HOLY COW.

Its been 2 days in the MTC and I can hardly believe I am here!! its so crazy to think that just 48 hours ago i was at home and with you all and now I am here! it seems like a life time!!! I am sad and homesick but i am also sooo happy!!! Its such an emotional roller coaster! One minute I know that there is no place I would rather be and that I can totally do this! and then the next I ask myself WHAT THE HECK AM I DOING? Why am I putting myself through this.... It is sooo hard. My companion is amazing!!! I told her that i wouldnt have survived the MTC's first night without her! Her name is Hermana Fox and soo crazy when we introduce each other, we are both from highland, ut and both going to Posadas, Argentina. She lives in hidden oaks and although we didnt know each other in high school! she is super sweet!! I was overwhelmed with the amount of love that I had for her!! We have different interests she played softball in high school but she is easy to get along with and very down to earth. I am so grateful for that! But her aunt and uncle are the foxes in our ward!!!! soooo cool!!!!

SPANISH!!! holy cow. that is all i have to say! I am learning.... slowly. hahahaha but I am able to pick up on a few words. but im pretty lost! but I am so excited to be learning a language. Hermana Estrada is my teacher and what do you know another connection!! she was companions with Kaitlin Davies in Chicago, She is amazing!!! I am so excited to spend the next 6 weeks with her! we havent met our other teacher but ill let you know how he is too!! Hope you guys are doing well!
Mom thank you so much for the letter!!! I seriously was trying to keep myself composed!! it is so amazing here!! but so hard!! i just keep being told make it to sunday, make it to sunday! but everyday its getting easier and easier, I am nervous! and everytime I think about it, tears come to my eyes! but I know that this is where I am supposed to be!!

TOP BUNK! dont worry dad, rach and trent, i got the top bunk ahahah i didnt even have to choice for it! but they jam packed 6 girls in our 4 man room!!! 4 closets and 6 hermanas the other sisters thought i was crazy because I kept bringing out clothes.... but Its good we are finally settling in! there are 2 girls going to buenos aires one from holiday who i have found lots of things in common with and the other is from wisconsin and then the other 2 are going to mesa and texas and i forgot where they are from hahahaha i think from west jordan and california but everything seems to be going good!

Last night we met our branch president and counselors! president and sister price are awesome!!! She is amazing and is willing to drop anything! STORY TIME!!! hahahahah the other night, I think it was the first night but the zone leaders and STL came in to our class to introduce themselves and i could not believe they were our age!! they seemed sooooooo much older!! but they had all only been there 2 weeks!! It was soo hard to believe! but after getting to know them they are awesome!! and i cant wait to spend the next month with them!!

I am so grateful for prayer, i spend half my day learning spanish and the other half praying that everything is going to work out!!! the spirit here is amazing and I know that heavenly father has sent me confirmation after confirmation through the spirit that it will get easier!! I am so grateful to have a direct communication with my heavenly father!! i need it desperately hahahahah every second of every day!! I am so grateful for this opportunity to serve and i thank heavenly father for it in every prayer i say!! i am so excited to prepare to share the gospel in spanish and I know that its hard now but it is slowly getting better! i love and miss you guys and pray for you everyday! I know that I was sent to a covenant family for a reason and when much is given, much is required! Dad thank you for the letter and being a worthy priesthood holder, mom thank you for serving a mission and for being as strong as you are! Rach thank you for being my greatest example and for helping me in my decision to serve! Cam and claire i love you guys and hope that you are continuing to pray every day and for being my best friends!
